I became interested in health and wellness in my early 20s. It seemed like I'd never really felt that good, so I joined 'Jack LaLanne's European Health Spa'. It was the early 70's, and he was the first to develop this idea of a place to work out, swim, steam and plunge into cold water for health and wellness. I got an education in nutrition from the guy at the protein shake bar. This changed my whole perception about health. I also got a job there teaching and making shakes! Going forward, I was able to learn from jobs I’d taken with a chiropractor and a few acupuncturists. Getting massages and other holistic treatments was enlightening as well. I had a personal understanding of how frustrating the struggle could be. As a result, I became a massage therapist in the 90s. With family issues and as a single mother, I did not devote time to this. Unfortunately, I was not able to make that my life’s work at that time. However, I’ve always had a life long yearning to find a way to feel better. My path keeps drawing me back to the healing field.
